The Application Procedure
1. Study the terms and conditions and the information about the tuition fee set by the Department posted on the University website.
2. Send the following to the e-mail addresses : This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ; This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or submit the following through your representative in Moscow:
• a copy of the passport (the first page with the photo) and its translation into Russian (the passport expiry date should not be earlier than two years from the date of application to study);
• a copy of the document certifying prior training and its translation into Russian;
• a completed application form that is needed to issue a student invitation (the form should be sent not later than 2 months prior to the start date). It takes 20 to 30 days to issue the invitation;
• a colour photograph 3 x 4 cm is needed.
3. To indicate the representative to whom the invitation should be handed out , or your e-mail or any another way of transferring the invitation to the applicant.
4. After receiving the invitation, to address the Embassy or Consulate of the Russian Federation located in your country for the student entry visa.
Important! Upon the receipt of the invitation check whether your name is spelled correctly as well as the correctness of the other data. The spelling of the name in the invitation should be the same as in your passport and your documents on education. All the documents and medical certificates should be translated into the Russian language. The translation of the documents into the Russian language should be carried out at the Embassy or the Consulate of the Russian Federation in the country where it was issued or by the notary public in Moscow. Studying at the preparatory department will help you learn Russian; get basic training in specialized subjects; get acquainted with Russian traditions and adapt to new living conditions.
Upon completion of training at the preparatory department, foreign students pass exams and, in case of successful completion of the final certification, receive a certificate. Final exams at the Preparatory Department for foreign citizens are considered as entrance exams at the A Griboedov’s Institute of International Law and Economics and a number of other universities. Students who completed their studies at the Preparatory Department for Foreign Citizens of the Institute for Humanitarian Education and Testing should clarify the conditions for admission independently at their chosen university or other educational institution.
Student visa support
I. Issuing invitations to enter the territory of the Russian Federation:
1. Fill out the application for issuing an invitation to study, send a document to the email address: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.;
2. Pay the state fee in the amount of 800 rubles, provide the original receipt;
3. Indicate the authorized representative to whom the invitation should be transmitted, or your e-mail, to which the electronic invitation will be sent to you;
4. The term for issuing an invitation is 20-30 calendar days;
5. After receiving the invitation, you should contact the Embassy or Consulate of the Russian Federation on the territory of your country to apply for an entry study visa to Moscow.
II. Registration of migration documents upon arrival to study in the Russian Federation
Within 2 days from the date of entry into the territory of the Russian Federation, you must provide:
1. Passport (original + 3 copies);
2. Entry visa (original + 2 copies);
3. Migration card (issued at the border) for the purpose of entry "Study" (original + 3 copies);
4. Completed arrival notice, completed visa application form.
Medical and insurance support
Admission is subject to an insurance contract. The Institute assists foreign students in concluding an insurance contract immediately upon arrival at the place of study.
Arrival at the department

II. Inform about the need to meet at the airport.
III. Provide the following documents to the department:
1. Original passport and notarized translation into Russian;
2. The original document on previous education and its notarized translation into Russian, legalized in the prescribed manner (if necessary);
3. 8 color photos 3x4 cm. On matte paper;
4. Medical documents that must be translated into Russian.
