The database on Internet resources for studying Russian language and obtaining education in Russian, including with the use of distance educational technologies, aimed at users in Latin America and Africa, "Simply in Russian" was developed with the financial support of the Ministry of Education and Science Russian Federation.

In recent years increased attention to the Russian language and Russian education in Latin America and Africa. The resource is designed to promote a dialogue of cultures, the development of open education in Russian and the teaching of the Russian language. The database "Simply in Russian" will help you to observe the variety of existing Russian distance education courses and resources for studying the Russian language. A simple, clear structure of the resource will allow you to easily and quickly find the necessary information.

The authors analyzed Russian-language educational resources and found out the most effective of them. The database includes a variety of educational resources classified according to the type of educational materials (dictionaries, online translators, video resources, literature, Russian language in social networks, etc.). Each subsection includes a short description of this type of resources and an annotation to links that specify the target audience. All resources are for free.

The electronic database was created to provide a support for Russian language learners and for students who want to receive education in Russian from Latin America and from Africa. However, the Internet resources, links listed in the catalog, will be useful to all those who are interested in Russian and obtaining education in Russian.

Presentation of the multimedia database made by Director of the Humanitarian Institute, Dr. of Philology Tatiana Kruglova and a round table with representatives of educational institutions took place in December, 2017 on the basis of the Rossotrudnichestvo representation in Tunisia. Within the framework of the above-mentioned event, the topics of support and popularization of the Russian language, the development of distance learning, the possibility of obtaining education in Russia by African citizens were discussed.
